No. 9 Marquette Golden Eagles vs. No. 8 South Florida Bulls

Despite a shocking loss to Wichita State in the AAC Quarterfinals, the regular-season title helped the Bulls earn a ticket to the national tournament for the third straight season. Marquette was able to catch up that season before losing to UConn in the Big East semifinals.

The Wildcats suffered a tough loss to UCLA in the Pac-12 tournament, but did well enough to secure a berth in the tournament for the third straight season. The reigning national champion Gamecocks is looking for a repeat. With a 38-game winning streak, South Carolina has avenged its disappointment at the SEC tournament and now aims to become the first team since UConn to win back-to-back championships. Norfolk is competing in the national tournament for the second time since being promoted to DI after winning their second MEAC championship.

Despite losing to Iowa in the Big Ten semifinals, Maryland still have a dangerous team coming into the Big Dance, their 12th straight trip to the national tournament. Holy Cross is poised to win their first Patriot League title in 16 years and will look to create an upset and claim their first tournament win since 1991.
No. 11 UNLV Lady Rebels vs. No. 6 Michigan Wolverines

The Wolverines were knocked out by rival Ohio State in the Conference quarterfinals but are looking to put on another solid run in the national tournament after back-to-back trips to the Sweet 16. The Rebels had a great regular season and capped it off with an MWC championship, advancing to the NCAA tournament for the 10th time in program history.

No. 14 Southern Utah Thunderbirds vs. No. 3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish

After winning the ACC regular season crown, the Fighting Irish were defeated in the Louisville Conference tournament. However, her performance that season was good enough to send her to the tournament for the 28th time. It was the best season in the history of the Thunderbirds program as they won their first conference championship and advanced to the big dance for the first time.
#14 Hawaii Rainbow Wahine vs. #3 LSU Tigers

The Tigers have home field advantage as they come to the tournament for the second year in a row. LSU will be looking to shrug off a SEC Tournament Semifinals loss to Tennessee. Hawaii won its second straight Big West title and will be looking to steal its first NCAA tournament win since 1990.

Creighton was knocked down in the Big East Tournament, falling to Villanova, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be a team to be reckoned with in their third tournament appearance in five seasons. Mississippi State clinched a 14-point win over Illinois in the First Four on Wednesday and is trying to win its first opening round game in four years.
#15 Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs vs. #2 Utah Utes

Utah suffered a stunning loss to Washington State in the Pac-12 tournament, despite claiming its first regular-season title in 14 years. Still, the Utes are in good position to improve on their run to the Round of 32 last year. Gardner-Webb is competing in the national tournament for the second time after winning the program’s second Big South Championship.

NC State fell to ACC Regular Season Champion Fighting Irish in the quarterfinals of their conference tournament, but was lucky enough to secure a spot in the national tournament for the sixth straight season. Like the men’s team at Princeton, the Lady Tigers won the Ivy League Championship and beat rival Harvard to make it back to the Big Dance for the second straight year.

#10 Georgia Bulldogs vs. #7 Florida State Seminoles

#16 Sacred Heart Pioneers vs. #1 Stanford Cardinal

#9 Gonzaga Bulldogs vs. #8 Ole Miss Rebels

Ole Miss was a casualty on South Carolina’s run to the SEC title. Still, the Rebels were more than good enough to advance to the national tournament for the 19th time in program history.
