A head-on collision between a minibus taxi and a double cab bakkie left four people injured on Sunday night.
The accident happened between Moloto Road and Sefako Makgatho Drive near Roodeplaat.
A local paramedic service LifeMed responded to the scene at around 23:30.
“The impact of the crash led to the minibus taxi rolling to the side of the road,” said LifeMed spokesperson Dean Slater.
“The driver of the taxi was the only occupant and was seriously injured.”
Slater said some of the patients in the bakkie were also badly injured.
“Some of them sustained injuries ranging from moderate to severe.
“One person needed urgent medical attention.
“All of them were transported to various local hospitals for further care.”
Slater said the cause of the accident was unclear and the police were called to the scene for further investigations.
