If there’s one thing Naruto has made clear over the years, it’s that Sakura and Sasuke are the end game. The pair share a long history, and of course, their relationship blossomed into something romantic after Kaguya was defeated. These days, ninjas enjoy married life, but the Uchiha family avoids anything too lovey-dovey…or even this week.
and why is that? Well, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations just did more for the fans. The show just aired a new episode of Sasuke’s story, and one of the most romantic scenes ever has been edited.

It all follows Sasuke and Sakura on a mission to solve a mystery. The pair end up in front of a lake filled with starlight, and the setting is clearly romantic. It prompts Sasuke to ask a serious question about his long absences, and gives us a soft spot against the former rogue player.
“I didn’t worry about us once when we broke up. But sometimes it gets to me [like] When I come home for the first time in a while and realize Sarada has gotten taller or notice you changed your hairstyle,” Sasuke admits while holding Sakura’s hand.
It turns out that his wife feels the same, and Sakura even calls out Sasuke’s developed crow’s feet whenever he smiles. The moment is remarkable given the couple’s shared smiles, and Sakura ends the scene by holding her husband’s hand and reassuring him of their bond.
Sasuke, I know you inside and out, so you don’t have to worry,” she admits. And of course, this makes Sasuke squeeze his hand back.
This scene might not be incredibly romantic, say, by shoujo standards, but it goes a long way for Naruto. The series isn’t much interested in romance, but it does have a number of couples on hand. Sasuke and Sakura happened to be two of the most popular, so fans were excited to see how the anime would adapt this moment. Obviously, Boruto crushed her.
