Missing non-verbal 8-year-old from Covington believed to be ‘in imminent danger’

Gremillion is described as an 8-year-old white male with short brown hair and hazel eyes. He is about 3 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 45 pounds.

COVINGTON, La. – Authorities are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 8-year-old who they say was abducted by his mother without custody on Sunday night.

According to the Louisiana State Police, 8-year-old Jett Gremillion was last seen around 7 p.m. Sunday on the 19000 block of West Front Street in Covington. Covington Police say his biological mother, 28-year-old Paris Souza, is believed to be dating her boyfriend Gary Sarver Jr., who drives a white 2004 Ford F250 pickup truck with LA license plate Z420891.

Gremillion is described as an 8-year-old white male with short brown hair and hazel eyes. He is about 3 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 45 pounds. He was last seen in a red flannel shirt, dark jeans and black boots.

Investigators say Gremillion is nonverbal, has an illness and is in need of his prescribed medication.

“He is believed to be in imminent danger without the drug,” LSP said in a statement.

Souza is described as a white woman with brown hair and blue eyes. She is about 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 100 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Souza or Gremillion is asked to call the Covington Police Department at 985-892-8500 or the local police department at 911.
