France/Coronavirus – Making masks mandatory in transports depends on the situation minister

PARIS (Reuters) – The decision to make face masks compulsory again on public transport to contain a new wave of the COVID-19 epidemic will depend on the evolution of the situation, the French minister said of Public Health François Braun Monday.

“I invite people to put on masks on public transport, even if it is not mandatory,” he told reporters during a visit to the French hospital.

“The decision (to make it mandatory) will depend on the evolution of the pandemic,” Braun added.
