alien. predator. alien vs. predator. Strange to think, but at some point, these two series weren’t intrinsically intertwined. But now that we’ve got so many comic books, video games, and even movies, well, it’s hard to separate the two as series. In fact, besides old school stuff like Frankenstein meets the wolf manIt’s hard to think of a more substantial match-up between the two franchises Aliens vs. Predators.
I mean, hell, you’re still waiting on me Robocop against. finisher A crossover movie, however, we already get it twoCount them two AVP Movies. In addition, when I rated both predator From the movies, one of these crossovers was SO GOOD!
However, both franchises are really their own separate thing. If we are not Monday Aliens vs. Predators Movies, there are six alien Movies and five predator Movies. But, which series is the best overall? Well, you are about to find out.

Every monster needs a great opening. So, which series has the best one?
Alien first appearance
Xenomorphs first appeared in 1979 alien, which can be considered one of the best science fiction films ever made, as well as one of the best horror films ever made. Not too shabby. at first alienWe only get one adult Xenomorph, and it’s terrifying, slinking through the air ducts, unleashing its terrors killing one by one. She certainly made a memorable first impression with her somewhat sexualized design, H.R. Giger, and it remains terrifying to this day.
Predator first appearance
Predator first appeared in 1987 predator, and faced the worst movie star on the planet at the time, Arnold Schwarzenegger. We actually didn’t get to see the predator during most of the movie, instead we got to see a kind of motion blur as it camouflaged itself with the jungle. When we saw him, he was definitely memorable with the mask on as well as without it. If I had any complaints, I wish it looked intimidating. But, if it’s a one-on-one challenge between aliens and predators, which we’ll eventually get, then just from this movie alone, I’d choose Predator. He seems to own all the games.
First Appearance Winner-predator
Although the Xenomorph in alien Delivering a stellar debut, the intimidating Joe Ridley Scott is arguably the real star of this movie. The Predator is more focused on its first movie, though, so it gets the win this time around.
Sequels and Prequels
Almost all top-grossing first films get sequels, but which series has a better cast?
Aliens Sequels and Prequels
As mentioned earlier, there are several alien Sequels, including excellent Aliens (plural), not appreciated Alien 3so awful Alien: Resurrectionand fun, Alien: Covenant, which we gave a good review. There is also an introduction to a certain extent, an offshoot to some extent, Prometheuswhich, due to its complement, Alien: Covenant, is now a well-established part of the aliens’ timeline. And when it comes down to it, I will say that both alien Movies from Monday AVP The movies are either good or excellent. Well, besides that Alien: Resurrection. This film can burn in a fire.
Predators Sequels and Prequels
There are four predator Sequels if we don’t count crossovers, and well… they’re at least different from each other. we get the beautiful good, Predator 2which brings combat to the city, rather unassuming, Predatorsawful predatorwhich here got a much better review than I would have, and an excellent prequel/branch, victim, which wasn’t quite as good as the original, but it was pretty close. Overall, it’s a lopsided series, but unfortunately none are as good as the first movie.
Sequel and Prequels Winner – Alien
Honestly, I tend to think James Cameron Aliens is the best movie in the series, so whenever a sequel beats the original, it always wins in my book.

There are many different genres when it comes to both series, but which one has the best?

Well, aside from the adult Xenomorph, there’s the Facehugger, which does exactly what it sounds like, Chestburster, which also does what it looks like (and is kind of cute, honestly), the “dragon,” which is found in Alien 3And the He was like a dogThe Viscous newborn form Found in Alien: Resurrectionthe silly Predalian (Facehugger on a Predator), the Deacon, who is found in Prometheusand resembles a Xenomorph, but not quite the same, and a Neomorph in Alien: Covenantwhich is also similar to the Xenomorph, but in white color.
Finally, you have the Queen, who is the most badass of them all. They’re all great, and I especially love all of the Life Cycles. growth appears.
Predator types
That’s the thing about predators. While there are certainly different types of predators, they are almost indistinguishable when compared to one another. One might be better than the other, or have different armor, like the Lost Tribe Predator, or Elder Predator, but if you were to show me a bunch of different Predators and ask, “What kind of Predator is that?” I would probably just shrug and say, “I don’t know. Predator-predator?” Because I honestly have no idea. Most of them look very similar to me.

Almost all of the different species in alien The franchise looks unique, which is why it won in this category.
Leading human characters
Sure, we all come for the monsters, but which series has the best human characters?
Leading alien human characters
Sigourney Weaver, still unsure about doing so Alien 5is essentially the human face of the series, appearing in the first four alien Movies like Ellen Ripley. But, there are also other interesting faces in the series, some of them are androids, like Ash (Ian Holm), David (Michael Fassbender), and the others are Colonial Marines, or explorers. Unlike a lot of horror series, though, human characters are usually drawn into this franchise, and it’s not just something aliens chew on. They matter!
The main human characters of the predator
As mentioned, Arnold Schwarzenegger is the main human face in the original, but do you know who replaces him in the sequel? Danny Glover. look now. I love Glover as much as the next person, but he’s no Schwarzenegger, that’s for sure. Honestly, along with Amber Midthunder in victimthe rest of the human characters are mostly forgotten, with the Predators being the star attraction.

Humans are important in the Alien series. In the predator series? Not much.
Movies are great and all, but what about all the outside media? Which series is the best?
Foreign media for foreigners
There are actually a couple of great ones alien Video games that do not contain a predator, including, Alien trilogyAnd the Alien: Solitude. Alien: Colonial Marines It was a mess, though. There have also been some great novels, such as the 1993 novel Aliens: The Female Wargraphic novel, Alien: The Storyboard. But, in fact, a lot of the series’ greatest moments were paired with the Predator, like Aliens vs. Predators An Arcade, Comedy, and Shooter that also lets you play as an infantryman, so yeah. There is that.
External media of the predator
Predator really doesn’t have any good games without the aliens, unfortunately. You have Friday the 13thgame like, Predator: hunting grounds, but it’s not very fun. Then you have the abyss predator NES game, and yes. it’s bad. There are some good comedies, like 1996 Predator: Big gamebut honestly, the Predator is also at its best when the Xenomorphs are up close.
