South Korea chases fighter jets after Chinese and Russian warplanes approach

South Korea’s military said it chased off fighter jets on Wednesday when six Russian and two Chinese fighter jets entered the air defense zone unnoticed.

The Japanese military also said it had scrambled fighter jets in response to flights over the Sea of ​​Japan, also known as the Baltic Sea, by Russian and Chinese aircraft.

Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said China’s H-6 bombers repeatedly entered and exited the Korea Air Defense Identification Zone (KADIZ) near South Korea’s south and northeast coasts on Wednesday morning.
