Police are investigating a sudden death this afternoon in Silverdale, north of Auckland.
In a statement, Detective Callum McNeill said the death was being treated as unexplained.
A second person was taken to hospital in critical condition, he said.
“Police are still in the early stages of investigating the circumstances of what happened.
“We can reassure the community that we’re not looking for anyone else right now,” McNeill said.
