The singer and pianist is best known for songs such as “Whole Lot of Shakin’ Going On”, “Great Balls of Fire”, “Breathless” and “High School Confidential”. The first two were even inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
His longtime collaborator, Kris Kristofferson, said Jerry Lee Lewis was “one of the greatest American voices of all time.”
Although the cause of death is not known, the musician has been suffering from several health problems since he suffered a stroke in 2019 that forced him to cancel all his concerts and public appearances.
