‘Dark Harvest: ‘James Caan’ final Archston movie’

Archstone Entertainment has announced that it has acquired the global rights to the late actor James Caan’s latest film, Dark Harvest. The movie is starring and written by Rich Manley, and directed by Andrew Diamond and Andre Gordon.

Cannes’ scenes were shot for the film long before his death last July, and producers will finish shooting the requested final scenes in January. The expected release date will be later in the year 2023.

The synopsis of the film describes a young Southern deputy who returns to his childhood home to investigate a mysterious mystery surrounding the town and its chief. With the number of missing persons reports mounting, appearances of strange government men in black suits and experimenting with GMO-infested corn crops pile up in silence, a curious deputy takes on the task of getting to the bottom of the puzzle.

The movie, titled Acre Beyond The Rye, was produced by Henry Roquerroll, Justin Richards, James Huston of Bazooka Bunny, Scott Martin, Jack Sheehan and Michael Slifkin of Archstone Entertainment. The executive producer is Barry Bernstein of Bobblehead Entertainment. Archstone will present an exclusive teaser to buyers in the upcoming US movie market.

“James was a legend in our industry and was one of the greatest characters ever to grace the screen,” said Slifkin. “We are proud and honored to help complete this film and bring it to fans around the world.”

Kahn died at the age of 82 last July after a heart attack. His acting career spanned six decades, and he was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in The Godfather, as well as four Golden Globe Awards for The Glory Guys, The Godfather, The Gambler, and A Funny Lady”, and a Primetime Emmy Award for Brian’s Song.
