The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has said turning Nigeria around will require three core banks in the country.
Naija News reports that the former Governor of Anambra State made this known on Monday when he paid a courtesy call on the controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi.
The LP presidential candidate visited Gumi at his residence in Kaduna in the company of his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed and some party chieftains.
In his speech, Obi stated that the Bank of Agriculture; Bank of Industry and Bank of Infrastructure will contribute the growth of the country.
The former governor said the three banks will make funds easily accessible to SME startups and individuals.
In his remarks, Gumi advised Obi not to let the Obidient movement end after the 2023 elections, urging him to continue to contribute to the development of the nation.
