HOUSTON, TEXAS, UNITED STATES, Sept. 23, 2022 / — Louisiana Food + Wine Festival announces dates

Houston, TX (Friday, September 23, 2022) – Just a short drive from Houston, TX, Lake Charles, LA hosts a world-class food and beverage celebration. The Louisiana Food & Wine Festival will be held September 14-17, 2023 at various locations in Lake Charles, LA. It will be a culinary, beverage and music showcase that showcases Louisiana’s unique culture and heritage, celebrity visiting chefs, local chefs, famous winemakers/owners, artisans, farmers, musicians, local craft spirits and beers, and acclaimed wines and spirits highlights , and beer brands from around the world. The inaugural festival offers a variety of events to suit all tastes and budgets, from wine dinners and tasting events to master classes and more.

“As a native of New Orleans, I’ve always wanted to host a food festival in Louisiana with its rich food history and culture. Many of our other major food festivals in the Southeast, including the Savannah Food & Wine Festival, St. Augustine Food & Wine Festival, Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival, Whisky, Wine & Wildlife and more, have always showcased some of Louisiana’s finest talented chefs honored by the James Beard Foundation. The Louisiana Food & Wine Festival is such an exciting opportunity to bring a culinary event destination to Lake Charles and the heart of Cajun County, showcasing the best of Louisiana culture, seafood and agriculture while highlighting chefs from across the state .”

More events and details will be announced shortly as the festival is in the process of finalizing its full calendar of events, partners and plans for 2023, including some venues. Tickets for the Louisiana Food & Wine Festival go on sale on Thursday, December 1, 2022 on the festival website. The United Way of Southwest Louisiana has been selected as the Festival’s Official Charity Partner, along with a portion of the Festival’s ticket sales. 100% of proceeds from a silent auction on Saturday September 16th at the Main Event will go directly to the United Way of Southwest Louisiana.

Louisiana’s Celebrity Chef Wine Dinner – 6:00pm Reception, 7:00pm Dinner, L’Auberge Casino & Resort A gourmet experience with a 6-course meal featuring a variety of Louisiana’s most celebrated chefs with each course Seeing is skillfully paired with the perfect wine.

A series of interactive and intimate sessions featuring celebrity chefs, cookbook authors, beverage experts, tastemakers, artisans and more.

Lake Charles Creole Nature Trail Wine Excursion 2:00pm – 4:00pm

A guided wine adventure tour of the Creole Nature Trail where you can explore the surrounding wildlife including alligators, bird watching and crabbing/shrimp fishing. A convenient opportunity to experience one of America’s untamed natural wonders near Lake Charles. More details will follow shortly.

“Fire on the Bayou” 6:30pm – 8:30pm, Bord du Lac Park, Lake Charles, LA

A signature Louisiana “cochon de lait” and live fire cooking extravaganza featuring a variety of Louisiana meats, seafood and more – highlighted by some of the South’s most celebrated pitmasters, chefs and grill masters. Enjoy unlimited food and wine, beer, and spirits tastings with a souvenir glass, plus live music and more along the shoreline of beautiful Lake Charles.


Louisiana Food + Wine Festival 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Bord du Lac Park, Lake Charles, LA

A fun afternoon of culinary tastings and drinks with live music in the beautiful setting of Bord du Lac Park. Tickets are all-inclusive for food and beverage tastings, including a souvenir glass for unlimited beverage tastings from hundreds of wine, beer, and spirits exhibitors, a silent auction, cooking demonstration stages, and A Taste of Louisiana’s Culinary Trails featuring samples from some of Louisiana’s best chefs in the entire state.


“Sunday Jazz & Zydeco Brunch” 10am – 2:30pm, location TBD

This lively Jazz & Zydeco brunch will be one of a kind, with an all-inclusive ticket featuring unlimited beverage tastings with a souvenir glass, live music, a sumptuous brunch with carving stations, sushi, salad bars, Louisiana Seafood stations, made-to-order omelet stations , various desserts and more. A host of the festival’s official beverage partners will be in attendance with an impressive Bloody Mary bar, mimosas, sparkling wines, spirits, wine and beer and much more. A fantastic festival finale!
