Andrew Taggart recently shared a video on his TikTok handle in which he describes the incident.

The clip is titled, ‘When meeting T.I. goes wrong’ while he captioned it with, ‘My bad, T.I., it won’t happen again… unless?’

Drew started the video by simply stating that rapper T.I. punched him in the face.

He continued, ‘We’re in a vibe and I, like, gave him a kiss on the cheek, it was totally my fault.’

Moreover, as Drew opens up about the situation his group mate Alex Pall can be heard laughing in the background.

Regardless, the 32-year-old singer mentioned that the Atlanta rapper immediately told him to back off and pushed Drew away. 

The Takeaway artist further admitted, ‘He punched me in the face, and I was like, “OK, I’m sorry,” and he w as like, “Alright, cool, we’re good.” It was the weirdest interaction ever.’

Furthermore, Drew concluded the video by accepting his part in the mishap.

He said, ‘T.I. is fully in the right here. I was like, feeling the vibes way too hard, and I kissed T.I. on the cheek, and he punched me in the face for it. It’s fully fine.’

Fans react to Andrew Taggart’s confession

Some of the fans took to Twitter and ridiculed Andrew Taggart for kissing a person without consent.

One fan wrote, ‘BOUNDARIES!!! Can’t kiss people without consent my boy, you know better!’

While another shared, ‘What vibe were y’all feeling that you thought it would be ok to kiss TI on the cheek?’

Meanwhile, some fans came to the songwriter’s defense by commenting that it was an honest mistake.

A fan pointed out, ‘You are just comfortable with your sexuality. Nothing wrong with a kiss on the cheek.’

T.I. responds to Andrew Taggart’s claims

A day after Andrew Taggart’s revelation, T.I. also took to social media to address the issue.

The rapper explained, ‘I have nothing negative to say, we just had to work through some stuff, you know what I mean? We got to a much better place.’

He added, ‘I have nothing but good things to say about them. I won’t go into too much detail, but I love The Chainsmokers, man.’
