Temperatures are forecast to drop across New Zealand as a cold change sweeps up the country.
On Saturday, northerly winds across the top of New Zealand keep milder nights for the North Island. But for the South Island, southwest winds bring colder air to the far south and mean some frosty nights.
Then on Sunday these southerly winds push up and across the country, with a MetService graphic showing New Zealand covered by cold air until at least Wednesday.
