Parts of Pretoria can expect to be without water due to maintenance work this coming Tuesday.

This was as the Tshwane metro is set to carry out maintenance plans of the water supply network in Rietvalleirand, at the corner of Piering and Manie Roads.

The work would begin at 08:00 and would take up to nine hours, according to Tshwane metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.

Although an interruption of water supply will be “avoided at all costs”, it may occur from time to time in parts of Rietvalleirand, namely east of Goede Hoop Road, west of Delmas Road, south of Piereng Road as well as in the north of Peacehaven Road.

Meanwhile, another maintenance and upgrade of a water supply network have been planned for Celtisdal extension 80 along Louisa and Aletta avenue on Wednesday, May 4.

“On this day, a water supply interruption may occur for eight hours, from 08:00 until 16:00 in Celtisdal extensions 28, 11,13, 23,19, 44 and 48.

The following business amenities will also be affected:

– Raslouw Lifestyle Centre

– Centurion Christian School

– Bundi Bos Kleuterskool

He said the metro apologised profusely for any inconvenience that could arise as a result of this planned upkeep work.
